The Rally Car Collection
The Rally Car Collection
The collection appears to have been different in different regions, but can't get a physical list of those other releases*, however a quick scan on Ebay you'll find lots of models that are not on this list, some of which I have myself, and when I get my own out and photographed, I'll add them to the foot of this list. Indeed a large percentage of still boxed items are still widely available new or used online. Do check out partworkscollectables.co.uk for more info, and of course check mainland European sellers for those 'regional' variations.
Model manufacturer is credited to PCT, so are likely IXO unbranded, and given the level of detail backs that up.
If you know different, drop me an email using the contact button below, and I'll update and credit your input

*I asked Google AI about this;
Q - It's widely recognised that there was 70 items in this collection, but I have multiple other models with differing liveries that look as if they belong to the same collection. Was there significant variations throughout different regions?
A - Yes, there were significant variations in the DeAgostini Rally Car Collection across different regions. While a "standard" set often refers to 70 issues (particularly in some European markets), the collection was adapted for different countries, resulting in different total counts and unique liveries.
Key Regional Variations
Total Issue Counts: The number of models released varied significantly by country. In the UK, the collection famously consisted of 70 issues. Other regions, such as those where the series was branded under Altaya (DeAgostini's partner/brand in Spain and France), sometimes extended to 80 or more items.
Unique Regional Liveries: DeAgostini frequently tailored liveries to the local market. For example, a model released in the UK might feature a British driver's car, while the same casting in the Spanish or Italian series might appear with a local driver's livery.
Japanese Market: Japan often received exclusive versions, such as a 2010 Ford Focus RS WRC not found in many Western sets, with magazines translated specifically for that market.
Branding & Crossover: Because IXO produced the castings for multiple partwork publishers, you may find models that are identical in quality and style but branded as Altaya or Atlas. These were effectively the "same" collection but sold under different names in different territories.
