The Daimler Company Limited, before 1910 known as the Daimler Motor Company Limited, was an independent British motor vehicle manufacturer founded in London by H. J. Lawson in 1896, which set up its manufacturing base in Coventry. Changing hands several times through BSA, Jaguar, BMC, BL & latterly through Ford's acquisition of Jaguar in 1990, who stopped using the brand in 2008. Jaguar retained the ownership through Tata's ownership and the creation of Jaguar Land Rover. On 23 December 2025, the Daimler Company was dissolved after having been dormant for several years.
